Military Glam: Military Inspired Fashion (J Crew Fall 2010)
Military fashion is nothing new, but it’s a definite DO this season!!! We experienced a bit of the trend over the past few seasons, but this time around…we’re taking it up a notch. This season the look is more stylishly glamorous, with a kick of grunge. Take charge in the bold trend, with plays on military colors (khaki, olive green, browns, & navy blue), fun textures (leather, suede, & velvet), vintage pieces, and tailored silhouettes. The military must haves are the combat boot, military inspired accessories, tailored trenches, blazers & jackets, as well as the skinny cargo pant. There are a few ways you can rock this militant fashion movement—by either going for the grungy-masculine look, the more chic-glamorous look, or a mix between both <—my favorite!
